Dacheng Tao has a BEng from the University of Science and Technology of China, an MPhil from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a PhD from the University of London. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Computing in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, computer vision, data mining, machine learning and visual surveillance. He has published extensively in IEEE TPAMI, TKDE, TIP, TCSVT, TMM, ICDM, CVPR, ACM MM, KDD etc. He is an associate editor of Neurocomputing (Elsevier).
